Waterborne heating as a heating method
Cost-effective and reliable heating
We at Energy Rent have for several years rented out reliable and cost-effective temporary heating and waterborne heating systems for a variety of applications. Whether the equipment is to be used for planned operations or for unexpected emergencies - we have the equipment and the expertise needed to solve the situation as cost-effectively and quickly as possible.
Heating can occur in many different ways and waterborne heat is one of several different ways. Simply put, waterborne heat is water that is heated up via a heat source. A waterborne heating system, along with other different renewable heat sources, is a cost-effective and reliable heating system.
Water has a good heat capacity, which is one of the main reasons why many choose to rent a waterborne system rather than using other solutions, which often include many small units.
Many uses for waterborne heat
Waterborne heat can be used on most occasions and markets, and can be used in both planned and unplanned situations. The heating method is particularly preferred on construction sites, but is also often used in existing houses and buildings. Completed construction projects that plan to use waterborne heating as a heat source when the project is completed can have many advantages by using waterborne heat also during the construction phase.
Hotels, hospitals, production, office buildings, sports arenas and football fields are just a few examples of where waterborne heat can be used. We have, among other things, supplied waterborne heat for heating the turf field in football fields, which we actually see as an increasing trend in sports arenas.
In unforeseen events where the contact with district heating is lost, we can quickly regain access to the system by connecting one of our mobile systems. In such cases, we can, among other things, deliver a heat center, or a radiator with a fan for hot air.
Waterborne heating has many advantages
One of the biggest advantages of a waterborne heating system is that it avoids large amounts of dust in the air, as would otherwise be the case with a heat fan. A waterborne heating system therefore works well in situations where there can be sensitivity to dust, asthma or allergies - such as in the office.
A mobile heating center is an alternative for renting waterborne heat. We have several types of mobile heating centers, and it is possible to choose between heating centers that are driven by gas, electricity, oil, bio-oil, or pellets.
If you choose electric heating, instead of a gas or oil-powered heating system, the solution will also be more environmentally friendly, and can actually be more efficient at times - if all surrounding conditions are present.
Many possibilities
Waterborne heat is only one of many possibilities for creating heat. We have for many years helped our customers with heating, and the possibilities are numerous.
One possibility is to use a heating plant that produces hot water for waterborne heat. It is also possible to use a water heat pump, either air-to-water or liquid-to water. Bio-boilers are also a possibility.
We most often use mobile heat pumps, electric boilers, bio-boilers, gas boilers, or pellet boilers when we need to produce hot water for waterborne heat at the customer's site. The heat produced through the system is then led through flexible hoses of varying sizes, ranging from DN25 to DN150.
Waterborne heating for football fields
In several projects, we have delivered heating systems using waterborne heat. Waterborne heat is an efficient heating method, which is becoming more and more popular.
Interest in heating options for sports arenas is increasing, and it is becoming more and more common with heating of the turf field in football fields. The benefits are great in winter when there quickly is snow and frost on the mat.
For such projects of heating of the mat on football fields, we have used a mobile heating central for the production of the heat. We have also delivered waterborne heat into the turf itself.
In previous projects, we have delivered 7.5 MW waterborne heat through a system. We have also in several projects delivered heating centers in the megawatt class.
At all times
Our mobile units are smartly packed. This is to make them easy to transport, take up little space and be easy to install.
Circulation of glycol fluid in the system can prevent freezing in inactive periods. It will also enable the system to start up at temperatures as low as -20⁰C.
Our equipment can be delivered with remote monitoring technology, so you can focus on the operations. Our team of technicians then monitors and controls the equipment around the clock, for you.
