Icebreaker is a concept by Energy Rent AS – one of Norway's leading companies in temporary heating and cooling.
It should be easy to create a good atmosphere and camaraderie. Therefore, we have set up two different basic packages that include everything needed.

The ice rink can be built exactly where you want, making it the natural meeting place. A mobile ice rink creates an attractive city center that includes physical activity and camaraderie, perfect for school classes, kindergartens, and other social gatherings for groups.

This season has been a great success with built-in ice rinks. A built-in ice rink guarantees usage, regardless of weather conditions!
Energy Rent AS delivers mobile Icebreaker ice rinks and subfloors, as well as assembly and disassembly, and offers training for operational staff to maintain the ice during the operational period.

Additional options can also be added to the basic package as desired. We have the following additional options: Tents, Skates. Packages from 50 pairs, Skating aids. Penguins/seals, Activities. IceByk packages from 4 pcs., Curling, Maintenance with scraper, or with brush machine and surface machine., Plexiglass barriers, Light and sound either as basic lighting and Basic sound system, or with colored light, disco ball, and better sound, Ice rink as a walkway, roundabout, with slide or indoors, Sales cart (for food/beverage and skate rental).

The possibilities are many, and we are more than happy to help you tailor the best solution for your dream scenario if additional options and changes from the basic package are desired.
You are responsible for the transport of equipment to the mobile Icebreaker ice rink, and daily maintenance of the ice. You must have the following available: 2 power outlets, cable laid out to the cooling machine with plug (female), water (approx. 2 bar pressure, must be available near the rink during the operational period), Forklift (2.5t) available for assembly and disassembly, – work lights

Advertising opportunities on the ice rink

The opportunities to acquire relevant sponsors are numerous.
The Bankisen in Sandnes was built in collaboration with Sandnes municipality. The main sponsor of the project was Sandnes Sparebank, and they therefore had the honor to name the ice rink "Bankisen." Collaboration partner Domino’s was responsible for renting out skates. Both the bank and Domino's experienced a lot of publicity and discussions around the event and received advertising worth gold!

A mobile ice rink is the perfect marketing tool to create buzz around your event
Several of the Icebreaker ice rinks we have delivered previously have been used in sports-active events. For instance, an ice hockey tournament was held on the ice in downtown Stavanger, and a figure skating performance on the Bankisen at Ruten in Sandnes.

Volunteer work with a sales cart

A sales cart as an option can provide volunteer work for local sports arenas. This is a great opportunity for sports clubs to raise some extra funds, as well as create a cozy community and environment, especially for parents and grandparents, who can then enjoy a nice cup of hot coffee or cocoa. This also provides good opportunities for renting out skates.

The ice rink is a big hit among users

On weekends, the offer is very popular with several hundred on the ice rink daily, says skate renter Tindra Arndottir at the ice rink in downtown Stavanger. Also on weekdays, there are several children and adults frolicking on the ice.

The ice rinks are used for various purposes and are attractive both during the day and in the evening.
The ice rink that was set up in Randaberg this year was fully booked for all possible reservations barely a week after the rink was fully assembled.

"It has exceeded all expectations. It is a true joy to see how the children enjoy themselves on the ice," says Svein Sørnes, general manager at the Village Association.

The ice rink gives schools and other groups a great opportunity to vary activities. Several schools and kindergartens have used the mobile Icebreaker ice rinks for gym classes, but also just to do something social a little out of the ordinary.
