The Challenge
In connection with testing and optimization of data centres at Norway's largest media houses there was a need for a powerful and reliable cooling solution. The challenge was to provide sufficient cooling power to handle the heat generated by high-performance data equipment, in order to avoid overheating and potential damage to sensitive equipment.
The Solution
Energy Rent supplied a mobile cooling unit consisting of a 400 kW chiller, including necessary peripherals such as buffer tank, pumps, transformer and heat transfer fluid. This system was specifically set up to meet the unique requirements of the data centers, ensuring efficient heat dissipation during critical test phases.
The Result
The mobile cooling system ensured that all data centers maintained ideal operating temperatures throughout the entire test period. This helped to minimize the risk of overheating and potential downtime, and ensured that all tests could be carried out without interruptions or technical difficulties, which was critical for both NRK and TV2's operational requirements.
