The Challenge
The heating system did not deliver sufficient heat, despite having adequate capacity in principle. The symptoms indicated poor heat transfer in the heat exchanger, resulting in reduced output and decreased comfort within the building – especially noticeable during periods of low outdoor temperatures.
During winter operation, such issues are critical, as even minor losses in efficiency can have significant consequences for indoor climate and energy consumption.
The Solution
Energy Rent carried out Clean-in-Place (CIP) / acid cleaning of the heat exchanger – an effective method for removing deposits and fouling that, over time, reduce heat transfer efficiency.
The cleaning was performed directly on the existing system, without dismantling, using specialised equipment tailored to this type of operation. This method ensures gentle yet thorough cleaning and enables a rapid and efficient restoration of performance.
The Result
Following the CIP cleaning, the heating performance of the system was restored. Heat transfer was normalised, and the system was once again able to deliver stable and sufficient heating – even under demanding winter conditions.
