Portable Air Conditioning Rental
Portable air conditioning rental from Energy Rent
There are several solutions on the market, but at Energy Rent we offer rental of portable air conditioning and cooling units which may be the perfect solution for your needs.
There are few things more frustrating than experiencing either too high or too low temperature in a room. Most people prefer a comfortable room temperature between 18-22°C, preferably around 20°C. Opening the bedroom window provides little relief when it is 27°C hot in the summer and it is equally ineffective to air the room when the temperature crawls down to -10°C in the winter.
A little about cooling technology
Let’s take a quick look at how a heat pump really works. To understand this better, it is useful to know what the main components of a heat pump are. A heat pump consists of four main components: compressor, condenser, expansion valve, and evaporator.
Heat pumps, chillers, refrigerators, and freezers all work according to the same principle. What differentiates them is the temperature at which they operate and which side of the process they draw the temperature from, whether they deliver heat or cold.
To achieve heating, a heat pump draws heat from the hot side of the process. What is important to understand is that to extract heat, something must be cooled down. Energy moves from hot to cold, and we use a special fluid which evaporates to absorb this energy.
Now that we have a basic understanding of the principles, we can focus on portable air conditioning and how it works.
Challenges with traditional portable air conditioning units
Most portable air conditioning units on the market have some significant limitations. Firstly, they have both the evaporator (which takes in warm air) and the condenser (which gives off heat) in the same unit. This usually happens through a tube with a diameter of about 150 mm. This pipe penetration releases hot air, resulting in a significant reduction in cooling capacity.
The second problem is that a pipe is required to lead away the hot air. This pipe must be led out of the room through a hole or an opening, which gives the heat a new opportunity to enter the room. This can also lead to the installation looking less aesthetically pleasing.
Challenges with condensation
When the air is cooled down, the water vapor in the air condenses and turns into a liquid. This water must be handled by the air conditioning unit. Some portable air conditioning units do not have an effective way to handle condensate water, and this can lead to large amounts of water that must be emptied manually. This can be an issue, especially in humid surroundings.
Challenges with noise
Many portable air conditioning units can be noisy and thus unsuitable for use in bedrooms or offices. They often emit a steady hum that originates from the compressor, which can be disruptive.
Innovative solutions from Energy Rent
However, there are innovative solutions available that avoid many of the mentioned challenges. These solutions mimic the operation of fixed heat pumps by having an outdoor unit and an indoor unit.
These units often have larger capacity, provide greater flexibility with regard to placement and have longer throw distance for the air. They are also equipped with integrated condensate pumps and hoses for effective removal of condensate water, and they provide a much more aesthetically pleasing appearance.
Energy Rent offers rental of portable air conditioning that is ideal for tough conditions, including industrial and processing facilities.
