Heat pump rental – mobile heat pumps for heating and cooling

Renting a heat pump gives you energy-efficient heating – and cooling – without investing in a permanent installation. We rent out industrial mobile heat pumps from 50 kW to over 250 kW for construction sites, office buildings, warehouses, halls and process plants, as part of our full range of mobile heating solutions.

Which heat pump do you need?

• Air-to-water: the most common choice for temporary heating. VP100 LV is compact with an integrated pump; VP150 LV gives more capacity. Both heat and cool.
• Air-to-air: VP85 LL delivers warm air directly, with integrated peak load, advanced defrost and an optional fresh-air supply – well suited to construction sites and halls.
• Water-to-water: VP160 VV is built in a container and uses an energy well or other water source for stable output all year round.

How to size a rental heat pump

A heat pump typically delivers 3 to 4 kW of heat for every kW of electricity (COP 3–4), which keeps running costs low and helps where the site's power supply is limited – above 63 A it can get challenging, above 125 A it is almost always a problem. For building heating, 25–90 kW of output per unit covers most needs.

Output falls as the outdoor temperature drops, typically 2–4 % per degree. Rated output is stated at nominal conditions (for example +7 °C outdoor air and 30/35 °C water), so always size for your coldest days. Combining the heat pump with an electric boiler for peak load means you don't have to size it for 100 % of the demand, and gives you backup during defrosting.

Heat pump or boiler?

Recent projects

• Kindergarten: a new kindergarten had no ventilation before its opening. We installed a VP160 VV on the building's energy well to provide temporary climate control in time for the opening.
• Sports hall: the hall's own ventilation could not keep it cool in summer. We installed a VP85 LL with hoses routed through the garage door windows – in operation within half a day.

Our heat pumps are delivered ready for independent use, with remote monitoring and alarms on most units. We can also supply tanks, pumps and generators, and handle commissioning, service and dismantling – across Europe.
